For school and then you will never be able to earn much”.. I was always confused what he meant then..
But One Fine Morning(which start around 10 o’clock sharp for me .. ) , He came up to me and said “Those who don’t respect
Time will never be respected by Time” and as you keep saying you want to earn Millions of Dollars so do remember
“TIME is the actual MONEY that You have with you , Use it Wisely”…
These words never crossed my mind until recently when I was sitting(with two body guards by my side.. ;)) in theatre to see
IN TIME directed by Andrew Niccol.. The movie start with a world divided across time zones .. yes no countries but time zones…
(I never thought of such a world before but yes that’s what we call Free Thinking or a Creative Thought..)
The first scene I could catch hold off was when Justin Timberlake is standing outside a Coffee House and a man in front of him says
“How could they do it?” It was Just 3 Minute for a Coffee yesterday and today it is 4 Minutes.. Confused by the statement I
Turned to the Lady sitting on my left and verified if what I heard is correct.. She said Ya Ya and he explained me the concept in brief.
A “COOL” concept it was with Time being used for all the transactions in the world instead of Money.. Every one is born with a clock
On his/her hand with a amount of time allotted(Is it not the same world we live right now it just that we cant see the
clock but the Time is fixed indeed.. right?) by GOD.. People Earn time after working, the NGO’s donate time to the ones in need,
the ones with more time are richer then the other and the zones with more such people are richer then the other zones and The person
who take care of this flow of time across zones is called a “TIME KEEPER”(A police officer from the world we live in..).
Don’t expect a Sci Fi story like Matrix when you go to watch this one because this is about normal people in a TIME bound world where
The only Constant is the total TIME. This is about a society which kills for time and a “century” with you means you have earned a lot.
Justin Timberlake plays a new Robin Hood who lived in a poor time zone and wanted to help those in need by stealing from those who
Are rich i.e the one with more time in their hand.
A thought provoking concept indeed about Time and what should we do with the one in our hand is really which made me sit two hours
And watch the story unfold. The acting by the cast was Ok(that is why I never had the urge to discuss the characters here) except the Time Keeper who looked more in the role and made an impact on screen. When the clock tick close to the last few seconds of people’s life in the movie you just cant miss the fear in their eyes. It does create an impact on the one’s watching and ask a very simple question to every one of them “What have you done with the time you have been allotted”?
And after 2 hours I just stood up wondering if my father is actually right when he told me about relationship between Time and Money.
“TIME is indeed MONEY” and even more than what I Thought about it in the first place !!!! ;) ;) ..
