Aarya was getting ready for the occasion. Today it’s the reception of his best friend. He wanted to look alike the groom so he also got the similar kinda dress as his best friend, Akhilesh. He was wearing a cream color Sherwani with a maroon shawl. It was going well with his style.
Maya, on the other side helping her best friend, Charu, to get ready for her marriage reception. Maya is an adorable girl with a beautiful smile. Every man will have a second look at her, if he happens to see her once, so was her beauty. Once a guy told her that she has got the most beautiful smile in the world. Though she is chatter box in her home, she is very conservative when it comes to strangers. She always listens to her mother and never goes against her words.
Many guests were invited and the arrangements to take care of the guests were done in a great manner.
Aarya decided to stick with his best friend so as Maya. The bride and groom were standing on the specially designed stage accompanied by their best friends. It was there, Aarya and Maya met each other. They both looked extremely stunning than the couples. They caught everyone’s attention for their presence.
Aarya was enjoying the moment when his eyes fell on Maya. Like every man does he too turned to see Maya for the second time. She was standing beside the bride with an elegant look. This was the first time Aarya was attracted towards a girl. He was seeing her continuously and Maya too realized that. She saw him and their eyes met. He saw her beautiful eyes that were in bewilderment. He wanted to talk to her, so he started moving towards her slowly.
Maya at once understood his intentions, slipped away from the stage quietly. Aarya was baffled by the huge crowd that came in to congratulate the couples, so he missed Maya. Then he got down from the stage and started to search for Maya. His eyes searched every corner and every direction of the reception hall, but he could not find her. Aarya was disappointed and sat silently at one corner of the hall. He watched the proceedings from there, but suddenly to his surprise, Maya crossed in front of him.
Aarya doesn’t want to miss this opportunity so he started to follow her. Realizing this Maya started to walk fast and so Aarya kept with her pace. They were moving to every curve and pillar of the reception hall.
All of a sudden Maya turned back and looked at Aarya; he stopped there and smiled at her. Though Maya liked him, she didn’t show her feelings to him. Again she started to move fast and Aarya followed her.
At one point of time this chase was becoming more like a fun for Aarya and Maya, they both liked it very much. It was turning to be a hide and seek game. Maya silently disappeared from his sight and making him to look for her, then without any warning she appeared in front of him and smiled at him. This was going on for a while and they both enjoyed being like that.
Aarya thought it was time to talk to her. He never felt comfortable in conversing with girls, but he wanted to have a conversation with Maya. He felt she was special to him. She was extremely beautiful and charming. So he went near her and made a gesture to come out of the reception hall. But she said no. Aarya did not want to miss this opportunity, so he looked into her eyes and assured her that he is there and nothing will happen. After that Maya looked around to see whether anyone is watching her. Then she noiselessly started moving towards the garden. Aarya was waiting there for her.
All this while not a single word was spoken, yet they understood everything. Their eyes
It was a cool evening with a gentle breeze. The serene was very good and garden was exotic. She went near him. Aarya was very happy and nervous. They both stood there for sometime without uttering a word.
Though Aarya had asked her to come, he doesn’t know how to start the conversation. Though talkative she is, Maya was shy and had the difficulty too talk this time. They both looked at each other and had a slight hesitation to initiate the conversation. Then Aarya decided to break the ice and wanted to say hi. When his vocal chords were about to say the first magic word, they heard some noise,
“Maya, What are u doing there? Come here”, Maya’s mother was calling her.
With lots disappointment in her eyes Maya started moving towards the reception hall. Aarya was very angry, but he knew he can’t do much about that. He looked at her, she turned back and saw him, and again those eyes spoke millions of words. Aarya was very disappointed.
He climbed up the staircase leading to reception hall slowly. He reached the hall and he can’t see Maya anywhere. He saw his mom talking to someone, so he slowly moved towards her. When he went near his mom, his eyes lightened up, he saw Maya there!!!!!!!
She was sitting gently on her mother’s lap. When she saw him, her smile returned.
“He is my son Aarya”, said Aarya’s mother.
“What is he doing”, asked Maya’s mom.
“Which school?”
“Oh really! Even my daughter is enrolled in that school. She is joining LKG this year”
When Maya’s mother said this, Aarya was elated and so as Maya. Aarya is Akhilesh’s nephew and Maya is Charu’s niece. They like their uncle and aunt very much. They were here to attend their marriage reception.
Aarya’s mother said “Why don’t you both go and play something?”
Maya’s mother said the same thing “Maya go and play with Aarya. You were saying that you were bored up right. See now you have someone like you”
Then Aarya spoke the first magic word to Maya, “Shall we play hide and seek?”Maya smiled and started to hide.

Don’t always look for some philosophical thought at the end of the story, try to enjoy it and have fun when you get a chance…
