Custom Web Part in SP2010?

We are implementing a page where there are 8-10 web parts. The data of some of the web parts are coming from other web parts on the system. We have following queries:-

·         What are the things we should consider while implementing the page?

·         How can we connect multiple providers to consumer & way to handle the problem that may occur in the post back?

        Would appreciate any help.
