This is might be simple doubt to you all but it is weird thing to me. I believe one of you surely can help me out on this. I need to convert a Word doc file to PDF file. I do not want to use third party tool/DLL for this conversion. I red few online books and learned that it’s possible using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro but unfortunately that all taught me how to write a new PDF file from Dot Net. My requirement is something different than this. I do not want to write content in PDF file whereas wanted to convert a Word file into PDF.
Solution 1:
In Microsoft Office 2007, This is possible by installing a 2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as PDF (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=9943). After installing it, follow these steps:
1. Open the word doc and Go to Save As & select PDF as shown below.
2. In the prompt, Choose a location and name. Next Click Publish.
Word Doc will get converted into PDF.
In Microsoft Office 2010, This feature is inbuilt & can be used directly. Follow the following steps.
1. Open the word doc. Click File, Share. From the Share menu, Click Create PDF/XPS Document then on the right-side Click Create a PDF/XPS
2. In the prompt, Choose a location and name. Next Click Publish
Word Doc will get converted into PDF.
This is as shown below:
