Power of Thoughts

You can move the world by the force of your thoughts and they have incredible power. In fact, according to yoga, all objects in the world are connected only by thought i.e, the imagination of the mind alone. The powerful thoughts of sages, saints and rishis of yore are still recorded in the Akasha (space). Powerful yogis and great thinkers should be able to perceive them as thought-images. Thoughts are like living things which exist even after we pass this world. (the ‘Eighth consciousness’ or the ‘Storehouse consciousness’ in Buddhism). Everyone lives in an ocean of thought.

A saint emanates pure and sublime thoughts whereas diabolical people transmit evil thoughts and feelings of hatred and ill-will. Like minds which receive such thoughts also vibrate in unison and are influenced by the original thought at a subconscious level. Noble and forcible thoughts create vibrations in every sympathetic mind. Many mass uprisings in the world can be traced back to thoughts which actually originated in the minds of single yogis. As per all the major religions of the world, even the
whole universe is interpreted to have been created by a single thought that arose in the cosmic mind. The power of your thoughts are only limited by the limits set by your own thinking.
The western concept of faith healing through prayers or suggestions and the eastern philosophy of seeking blessings from the elders are all based on the same basic premise only – the power of thought.
A curse is also a thought. The word ‘Desire’ in the great enlightened Buddhist philosophy of ‘Desire is the root cause of all evil’ is also a thought. The unsaid part here is that this desire or intention is the root cause of all good as well. An enlightened person can easily understand that thoughts, intentions or cravings are behind every action in the collective reality that we experience and is somewhat similar to the laws of Karma. It should be noted that the concept of Karma in Hinduism does not include only deeds and actions, Karma includes our Thoughts also.
