Techniques to Alter our Reality

From Einstien’s equation E=mc2 and the dual nature of subatomic particles, we know that Energy and Matter are inter convertible. It follows that Thought waves or Thought Energy which is also a form of energy should be convertible to matter. Now that we have also realized the true nature of reality or consciousness as described in the above pages, it follows that we should be able to alter it using our thoughts to fulfill our just aspirations. One of the following techniques would help us to achieve this:
 Raja Yoga Meditation
 Isha Yoga or Inner Engineering
11
 Creative Visualization
Isha Yoga is suitable for people of all types whereas the Creative Visualization technique is more
applicable for people with a very vivid imagination.

Raja Yoga Meditation Raja Yoga is a type of yoga which can be done with either the eyes open or closed. It can be performed even while during routine work and chores. This technique also requires plenty of imagination skills. Raja Yoga is so-called because it is primarily concerned with the mind. The mind is traditionally conceived as the king of the psycho-physical structure which does its bidding. Because of the relationship between the mind and the body, the body must be first tamed through self-discipline and purified by various means. A good level of overall health and psychological integration must be attained before the deeper aspects of yoga can be pursued. Humans have all sorts of addictions and obsessions and these preclude the attainment of tranquil abiding or meditation. Through restraint (yama) such as celibacy, abstaining from intoxicants, and careful attention to one's actions of body, speech and mind, the human being becomes fit to practice meditation.

True yogis are extremely rare and they will neither preach from any platform nor seek any publicity. They are more like the enlightened BodhiSattvas of Buddhism who quietly lived and served among the public. True and perfect raja yogis will have the ability to transform the lives of people through varied fields such as international and national events, strategic affairs, diplomacy, politics, local weather, even natural phenomenon and the world of arts like literature, movies, etc. with incredible speed and accuracy for the sake of a better civilization. They can do this by sitting in a remote cave in the Himalayas or even in the midst of an urban jungle. True yogis will never project or put themselves in the limelight; rather they will only influence through their thought power.
For Example: A Yogi is not one who writes an article or a book. Rather, the Yogi is the one who makes another person write the same article or book he wants without even meeting him.
A real yogi is not someone who acts on his own, but rather makes another person to act by the mere force of his thoughts.
Isha Yoga or Inner Engineering Isha Yoga was founded by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev in 1992 in Coimbatore. Isha Yoga includes initiation into meditation and pranayama and the Shambhavi Mahamudra. Isha Yoga aims to alter our inner self and makes us to look inside rather than outside to solve our problems. It postulates that the external environment is merely a reflection of our inner self. It resolves our external problems by cleansing our inner self. Isha helps us realize that the external environment really does not alter us but it is we who are alter the external environment. By readjusting and engineering our inner self, we can positively alter our external environment. Yoga classes and training programmes are available.  Creative Visualization Secrets The Creative Visualization technique originally arose in the US along with the New Thought movement in the 19th Century. It aspires to alter the external reality through our thoughts and creative thinking. This technique is more suitable for people with a very vivid imagination. The following are the basics of Creative Visualization: Prerequisite: A selfless, ego free mind. 12

Step 1 - Relax: The first step is to completely relax your body and empty your mind.
Step 2 - Imagine: The second step is learning to imagine your intended outcome. Your imagination is the engine of your thoughts. It converts your thought power into mental images. Imagine your ideal reality in the present moment, bring your pictures to life as if watching a movie, concentrate your thoughts with laser like precision and indulge all your senses.
Step 3 - Feel: The third step is to really feel what it would feel like if you already had that which you have mentally chosen in the present physical moment. Where imagination is the engine of your thoughts, your feelings are the fuel.
Step 4 - Believe: The fourth step is to believe that you already have your mental intentions in the present moment. This is not about wishful thinking or lying to yourself. It is about knowing the scientific truth behind reality creation and having the kind of faith that is the "evidence of things not seen".
Step 5 – Detach & Forget: The fifth and important step in the process is detaching yourself from the thought and not hanging on to it. Detach yourself from the outcome you intend to see manifest in your life. Whenever you are attached to someone or something, you effectively strip yourself of your authentic power to consciously create the outcome you choose. As the Gita says ‘Do your duty; Do not expect the rewards’. You need to detach yourself from the thought as soon as possible. If you can forget that you even thought about it, it is even better!.

Rule of Secrecy: It is very important that you do not verbalise your thoughts to anyone including your closest family member or friends. It is a basic requirement for the thought to manifest itself in the physical reality. You can write down your thoughts if you want to maintain a private diary of your progress in visualization, but you need to consciously detach and forget your notes as well while retaining its privacy. The thought once created in this process moves from the Thought realm to the Mental Realm and remains there in germination. It moves and manifests itself in the physical reality at an appropriate and ripe time once it transforms itself as the will of the unconscious mind. The following diagram represents this process.

Do not get overexcited: It is also important that you do not get too excited when the actual physical manifestation occurs. This will reduce your visualization skills. It is best if you had forgotten the original thought and the manifestation appears as brand new. If it appears brand new to you, it may at best just create a ‘déjà vu’ or ‘jamais vu’ feeling in that scenario. 13

Thought waves are represented as spherical balls of Thought energy in the above diagram as the sphere is the favorite shape of the universe or cosmos.
Here a couple of small real life examples to get you started.
Example 1: ‘A’ buys a new car. A is not ready to shell out money for any fancy registration number and is ready to go with the running number at the RTO. However, he would like to have atleast a desired number if not a highly fancy number. He imagines the number he wants, he puts all his feelings into it. He is able to clearly visualize the mental image of the car with his desired number on the number plate. Then he detaches himself and completely forgets about the thought. After a week’s time, A is pleasantly surprised to receive the same car registration which he had imagined in his thoughts a week back.
Example 2: ‘B’ decides to test his visualization skills. B imagines his favourite table at home developing a small crack on its top surface. He is able to completely visualize as to where the crack should be and how it should look like. The he detaches himself and forgets all about it. After 2 months, he comes back from office to find that his favorite table has developed a crack on its surface (exactly as he had imagined). He is enraged as he no longer remembers his original thought and screams at everyone, determined to find the cause of the crack. After sometime, he calms down, relaxes and recollects his past thoughts from the subconscious mind. He understands that the cause of the crack had come from himself, from within. We need to start visualizing small things which end up in good visuals first. This will provide the confidence to move on to bigger items. The key to Creative Visualization is practice, practice and more practice. 14

What is the need for absolute secrecy in Visualization ? The need for secrecy in visualization is not based on some age old superstition. This is simply because the Thought energy will dissipate the moment you verbalise it or share it with others. Your verbalizing creates expectations on yourself and you are in a panic to prove yourself to be correct. Your thoughts also clash with the thoughts of the person with whom you had shared it. The thought energy will never get a chance to grow as the secrecy has been lost. Since you have shared it even before the thought had time to germinate and get ready to manifest itself, the thought never enters your reality or your spacetime continuum.  Karmic Latency – Time delay in Conversion of Thought Energy to Matter Energy The Thought may manifest itself in the physical reality in the next second, minute, month, year, decade or a century. Very rarely, does the thought get manifested immediately. There is really no Instant Karma. For example, in the tamil movie ‘7aam Arivu’, one of the few movies to depict the ESP phenomenon, the thought manifestation is shown to be as instantaneous and is even given the fancy title of ‘Nokku Varmam’. Very often, this is not the case. There is always a time delay between the thought and the manifestation. This is what is termed as Karmic Latency. Why there is a Karmic Latency and where the thoughts or karmic seeds wait in storage before manifesting itself are two questions which have baffled Yogis and Buddhist sages for ages. The answer is that the thought needs time to germinate as shown in the above diagram. This germination time is found to be universal and observed everywhere in nature. For example, we need exactly 10 months to make a human baby. However hard we may try, it is not possible to reduce it to 1 month. Similarly, thoughts require time to germinate before manifesting itself. And how much will be this latency time ? It depends on the thought - the latency time is exactly the time required for that particular thought to manifest itself under the laws of nature. It should also be noted that if the thoughts of all the people were to manifest themselves instantaneously, there would be utter chaos in the world. Also the time delay before the manifestation lets us to rethink our original thought and change it if necessary (i.e., if we still remember it).

How to prevent bad thoughts from manifesting themselves ?
Research has shown that the average man has some 60,000 thoughts per day. It is physically impossible to monitor all of these thoughts and ensure that they are 100% good thoughts. There will be definitely some good thoughts and some bad thoughts among this number. We need to focus on reducing the number of thoughts and in the case of those that could not be prevented from occurring, there is a way to remove them. We just need to isolate the particular thought in our mental image and imagine yourself as deleting it in whatever way you seem fit. In cases where you do not recall all the bad thoughts that you had thought so far in your life, you can try imagining the concept of summary deletion. Once everyday, you can try visualizing the mass deletion of your bad thoughts.
To prevent the bad thoughts of others from manifesting itself on you, some spiritualists suggest the chanting of certain mantras or prayers to block the impact of bad karma or thought from others. You can also block them by creating imaginary counter thoughts against them. 15

When 2 people have opposing Thoughts – Which Thought manifests itself ?
When two people have differing thoughts on the same subject, the unconscious mind decides which Thoughts gets manifested in the physical reality as its job is to always perform the balancing act. The Thought waves may also interact with each other and produce an interference pattern just as in the case of light waves. The interference pattern can explain a lot of the paradoxes that we observe in the reality or known universe. Often diametrically opposite thoughts of equal force can cancel each other out. It maybe possible for two differing thought waves on the same subject also to manifest themselves by changing the frequency.
Of course, as per the theory of Parallel Universes, both the opposing thoughts can manifest themselves in physical reality but in different universes.

How to recreate a dissipated thought ?
Recreating a dissipated thought due to loss of secrecy or verbalization is very difficult thought not entirely impossible. You need to relax and again visualize the thought as being recreated in your mind. You need to first imagine the thought as being recreated as a small ball from the dissipated state and make it grow in size till it fills the whole room and you feel satisfied. Follow the regular steps of the creative visualization. Do not reveal or share with anyone this time.
